Event at Pershore Co-op, Racecourse Road, Saturday May 4 th

Volunteers from the Pershore foodbank held a “meet & greet” at the Pershore Co-op on Saturday 4th May 2024. We chatted to the Bank Holiday shoppers about the work of the Foodbank and explained how we support people from Pershore and the surrounding villages when they experience a crisis that makes it difficult to put food on the table.
This small-scale event was held at the invitation of the manager, Mr Richard Brixey, who is always on the lookout for fresh ways to promote local community involvement. Members of the public were interested in our work and several took the trouble to make special purchases and even gave us several small financial donations. Of course some people were in too much of a hurry to stop and chat but the colourful
display and specially prepared leaflets served as a gentle reminder of our continuing need.
